When you’re young and agile
Vibrant, potent and virile
You never know what lies ahead
Until you’re old to face the dread
Of organs losing their vitality
When you’re young and boisterous
Bold, daring and adventurous
Things about aging may seem like joke
Until you join the ranks of the old folk
Then you realize that old age is terrible
When you’re a kid and growing up
It’s easy to pick yourself up
From a chair without anyone’s help
At 40 you’re not likely to ask for help
Unless fate turns you into a disabled
In your prime you probably took pride
In taking serious lovers for a ride
But as you age and your beauty fades
You may begin to spend on beauty aids
Worried about being rejected as a lover
When you’re highly skilled and mentally alert
And you’re such an invaluable asset
With so much to give to your organization
They’ll use and abuse your specialization
And finally show you the exit at old age
Perhaps you never had to go to the hospital
Except for the routine job-mandated physical
So you probably never heard about a urologist
Or a specialist called the ophtalmologist
Until your bladder or eyes start getting weak.
