BY J E SOLOMON
Legally they call it lottery
It’s actually indirect robbery
Numbers electronically set scrambling
And presented as a form of gambling
It wasn’t designed to put money into your wallet
It was designed to draw money out of your pocket
The chance of winning big is very, very slim
And yet they make you think it’s easy to win
They tell you to stake one dollar
And you can win a million dollar
Something they call the Jackpot
And don’t want to say Moneypot
Who can honestly offer you a million dollar
And all they ask in return is just one dollar?
If this doesn’t make sense to you
You shouldn’t let them fool you
